- Singapore long-term pass holders who wish to take the programme full-time must apply as International Students as they need to apply for Student’s Pass.
- Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and Singapore long-term pass holders who do not require Student’s Pass can apply as Singapore students.
Programme Purpose
The advanced track is a shortened Master of Divinity programme designed for students who have graduated from BTS’s Bachelor of Theology programme. Students who have obtained an equivalent qualification from other institutions may also enrol in this programme if they are prepared to take the courses prescribed by the Dean of Academic Studies in line with the seminary’s curricular emphasis. The advanced track programme offers students elective courses in the various theological studies, provides opportunities for independence research, and emphasizes supervised training in ministry skills.
Duration of Study
2 years full-time study (60 credits). Students on part-time course load status should complete their programme within 4 years after which a continuation fee per additional semester may apply.
Admission Requirements
- Church Endorsement; and
- Bachelor of Theology with a minimum GPA of 2.7.
General Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Christian Experience
The applicant must be a professed follower of Jesus Christ with a call and commitment to Christian ministry. - Church Affirmation
The applicant must be a baptised member in good standing with his or her church. He or she must have been an active serving member of the church for at least 2 years. The applicant’s commitment to fellowship, relationship with church members and leadership must be affirmed. The application must be endorsed by his or her church leaders. - Practical Maturity
The applicant must be at least 24 years of age. - Language Proficiency
The applicant should be proficient in English and confident in communicating with others. International applicants must submit for one of the following tests:- Duolingo English Test
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Applicants with acceptable scores will be given an opportunity during the interview process to demonstrate their English proficiency.
