Baptist Theological Seminary is accredited by the Association for Theological Education in Southeast Asia (ATESEA) and an accredited member of the Asia Theological Association (ATA).

Application Deadlines

• Singapore long-term pass holders who wish to take the programme full-time must apply as International Students as they need to apply for Student’s Pass.
• Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and Singapore long-term pass holders who do not require Student’s Pass can apply as Singapore students.

Programme Purpose

This programme is designed to provide graduate theological education for persons who are preparing for ministry responsibilities in a cross-cultural setting. Its curriculum is composed of a breadth of the theological disciplines and a concentration on missions related disciplines which includes a significant component of missions practicum.

Duration of Study

2 years full-time study (60 credits). Students on part-time course load status should complete their programme within 4 years after which a continuation fee per additional semester may apply.

• Holder of Bachelor degree or equivalent.

General Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Christian Experience
  The applicant must be a professed follower of Jesus Christ with an ongoing commitment to serving God in missions.
• Church Affirmation
  The applicant must be a baptised member in good standing with his or her church. He or she must have been an active serving member of the church for at least 2 years. The applicant’s commitment to fellowship, relationship with church members and leadership must be affirmed. The application must be endorsed by his or her church’s pastor or main leader.
• Practical Maturity
  The applicant must be at least 24 years of age.
• Language Proficiency
  The applicant should be proficient in English and confident in communicating with others. International applicants must submit for one of the following tests:
  • Duolingo English Test
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

  Applicants with acceptable scores will be given an opportunity during the interview process to demonstrate their English proficiency.
